MV-Junior 4th axis not going to programmed degree

Our new to us MV-Jr with fanuc 10m controller doesn't go to 45 degrees if you program it to do so. It's about 34 degrees. I think there is a parameter that is not set correctly. It's like the machine thinks one revolution of the 4th axis (a) is 39* degrees instead of 360. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

    Hello,

what if you do 90 degrees, does it got to actual 68? And what if you command 45 degrees, and then tell it to -45 degrees, does it return exactly to where it should?

If you program any degree in any direction it runs short of the actual angle. It thinks there is 392 degrees in a rotation..

Has this ever worked on this machine? I would first verify that the coupling is not slipping. The find out how many pulses your motor encoder has. Then you need to set parameter 1816 to match that encoder.
