Modelling spring tangs in several planes - a bit lost!

Hi - Still trying to get my head around lofting to create ends of a coil spring that end in two different planes. The bottom (start) end needs to sharply turn 90 degrees and the top end needs to bend in to the centerline and down. I'm having trouble trying to visualize it. I created the basic spring, a start and end circles along with some guide curves, but can't quite seem to get it. Can you "guide me" so to speak The picture shows what I'm trying to do and my part is attached. Any help is greatly appreciated.

all you need to do is put the path to the center of the diameter of the spring ....

    i think ...

Thanks for the tip. So you can't do movements in 2 planes at once? I was looking to be able to go towards the center of the spring, then down some, then out... that's 3 separate sweeps then?

    Thanks!

Yea sure you can .... Sketch in 3d

Do a spline curve in 3d sketch mode, it's a bit daunting at first to get the spline on the correct planes , but with a little practice :-)

Take a look at the files, one is your spring using you guide curves, the other is one I did previously that will get you headed in the right direction. You should work from the centerline of the spring and give the guide curve and center of circle a pierce point relationship. Can't do 2 planes at once
