I've been running a multicam MG204 since 2001
having great fun with it once I got it going right :-(((((

installed another controller . . .
no complains about the mechanics though
although, now the nut on the Y-ax is locking up more and more often nowadays

so, can anyone tell me which brand this is and where to get hold of one

it's not a ball return nut as far as I know about these things, it's ACME thread
if it's not viable to locate a replacement nut I could replace the entire screw

I'm pretty sure other multicam owners have been down his road
like to "hear" (read) your experience

looks like Thomson XC Supernut. My Multicam Pro uses these on the Z's.

I was really busy, hence the slow response
this could very well the brand that was used on my machine, though I didn't have time to look in to it so I made a temp. (!/?) fix
it turned out the nut was locking itself up
so this is how I "solved" it :

the aluminium part is spring loaded, this will stop it's rotation just before locking up
made a scratch mark for reference
