Laser cutting Delrin, getting sloping edges

I have a cheap Chinese 80 watt CO2 laser and I’m getting a sloping cut when I cut or engrave 1/8” thick Delrin plastic. I don’t know the focal length of the lenses my laser came with. The cut is V shaped so that the slot at the bottom of the material is much smaller than at the top. Is there a work around for this? I’ve tried cutting in stages at lower power all to no avail, any suggestions?

try focusing in the middle of the material.
