Is Hardinge any good? Looking at a new vmc GX-1300

We're looking at purchasing a new Hardinge GX-1300 vertical machining center. Only problem is I haven't found anyone using them to tell me if they are any good. I like the fact it has a Fanuc control, and the local dealer seems to have excellent service. But is the machine any good?

IMO its just a name now. Might find a better machine for the same money. Our Hardinge mill is just another taiwan machine.

Can anyone tell me how they compare to a HAAS? Seems like you see a lot of HAAS out there but they also seem to be the cheapest.
