Ok, so after setting up a job, and boring the jaws, and inserting the part, and tailstock I all of a sudden get this 502 alarm. Which states "motor over load except spindle motor"

I have tried resetting all the drives, checked burned fuses, etc. I call yaskawa and they say it is a hitachi alarm and not part of the LX3 control alarm.

Has anyone experienced this before?

The fan motor on the Spindle motor is running. The spindle spins free, etc.

What shall I try and do from here?

I dont have a Hitachi manual to look up the alarm. Any help is much appreciated.

Hello,

did you try tripping and resetting the motor starter overloads on the machine? When was the last time you used the tailstock? Sounds to me like the thermal overload tripped out? Let me know
