Help PLEASE. error 11 motor over load

During tapping cycle (with or without G84.2) our mill is screwing off

Error #11 motor over load comes up.. And/or C axis motor overload. The machine does mot have a C axis
The spindle seems to loose where it is pulsing forward and back (shaking motion) when tapping

Trying to job "Y" using the jog button ...... Once the button is released the table shakes back and forth very rapidly ( shaking motion ) after 10-15 seconds no alarms have come up E-stop gets hit to stop it

"X" axis sounds HORRID when jogged

Wondering where to start digging in ?

machine : VMC 15 Fadal mill been in use since 1999... Never abused ... Cuts brass / plastics 80% of the time

    Thanks in advance all

You should tell us what machine, age and controller.

Anyone know of a good Fadal repair in the GTA (greater Toronto area). Other than SMS... We had an issue with one of their guys. I'm sure we are on the "blocked list"

Re: Help PLEASE. error 11 motor over load

Narrowed it down to the Coupler that joins the x motor to the ball screw. Is there a procedure to mount the x motor up to ensure everything goes in square ?

VMC 15 Fadal mill (been running since 1999)
    Round motor

    Thanks

Most of the time the motor is a "C" faced mount which the flange on the motor and the ball screw housing match. I have mounted the motor and slid the coupling back and forth between the motor shaft and the ball screw shaft. When the coupling slides evenly you know that the shafts are aligned. Then you can tighten the coupling.
