Good accuracy on a BR80! Pleasantly surprised

We got it a BR80 a couple of weeks ago. We were faced with the need to hold a very tight accuracy over 122 inches. The machine held a superior accuracy of less than .001" over 122 inches. I would like to attest that we are impressed by the BR80 and its functionality is superb.
We have had good luck with our Fadals milling mostly soft steel and aluminum up to 5 axis. We are always looking for spare parts If you have a broken down Fadal give a shout.

How do you accurately measure 122 inches within .001? I am not trying to be flippant, I just want to know.

When your dealing with such long parts a little temperature change will move the tolerance. We have a VERY thermally stable machine shop so a large CMM tells us what it does before it leaves the shop.
