Hello-

I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum, but I'm not sure if this fits in any other forum either. So...I've got a 1980's Enshu mill with a Fanuc 3MA control. Nothing really wrong with it, but I'd like to upgrade it to DNC at some point. Make it the best it can be.

Fanuc 3M Dripfeed chips won't work with the 3MA main board I've got and I'm not sure if Memex is even making their chips for my machine anymore. I can't find any reference to the 3MA upgrade on their website.

So, I've thought about trying to replace my 3MA main board with a 3MC board. They are pretty similar except for obvious differences in the CRT and MDI connections. Maybe it's possible? It would take some cable making and knowledge of the pinouts. Then I could use Fanuc 3M Dripfeed chips and upgrade.

So has anyone tried this or am I completely out in left field thinking this could work? Thanks in advance.

Bob-
