Guys.
Have brought a lathe with a 10t control and fapt. Before we power down I want to get a full parameter back up.
Can you give me some advice on the process to do this. I currently have a lathe with a fanuc 6t control and cable so can take that with me along with a pc with one Cnc file transfer program.
Also does the fapt side of the control need backing up seperately? The owner doesn't use fapt so any tool data etc would be of no use.
We were also going to change the batteries prior to disconnection.

the FAPT side has built-in settings and parameters that will default to factory if power is lost. the only thing that would need backing up is the tool data. if it wasnt used there is no data so dont bother with it. in any case you can input the data from the FAPT programming manual or FAPT data book.

we punched out the data on the weekend.
it looked a little bit different to what appears on the screen tho so we also took pics of all the screens.

the fapt wasn't used so that data is not an issue.

the pmc data was recorded by writing down and also pics.

will replace the batteries before it is disconnected from power and hopefully i wont have to worry about loading any data.

Backup your 8000 and 9000 macro programs. These can be unlocked by parameter 11.0 for the 8000’s and 2201.0 for the 9000’s.

i found the above comment in another thread but don't know about this unlocking instructions
I notice these are not in my parameter list and not in the pics I took of the parameters screens

Any help please
