    EZ Trak runtime error m601

Hi, i recently had to replace the cmos battery on my EZ Trak SX. All was working fine for the last few weeks since doing so. Yesterday how ever the machine started up fine, but while running a program an error message came up on the screen:

    Run time error m601:map
    floating point error: invalid
    Loading ez utils

I also notice when the machine loads the program after starting up, it has moved the starting position of the program by around 1/8".

Could anyone give me an idea of what this problem is, and what i can do to remedy it?

    Thanks
    Mike

did you Find a solution to this Problem? Our EZ trak is currently doing the same thing and I am having my Employee restart the mill to see if it will get him back working.

    Hi Jason
The answer to my problem was that the backup battery on the computer needed replacing. I found in some cases the backup battery pops out of the motherboard and you just replace it with another battery. But in our case the battery was soldered into the motherboard and you have to remove the motherboard from the back of the machine to remove the battery by unsoldering it then resolder the new battery in place and refit the motherboard. Hope this helps.
    Regards
    Mike
