Deepgroove1 and QTUL 4th axis rotary table

    Hi,

I'm looking to buy a 4th axis rotary table and have shortlisted these 2,
-Deepgroove1: CNC Rotary Table Sherline Maxnc Taig CNC Router CNC Milling Machine Pool Cue | eBay
    -Qtul: CNC Rotary Tables

Anybody have experience with the above?

The rotary axis will be mainly for cutting gears.

    Thanks!

I got a QTUL rotary table and wish I hadn't. It is a POS! It is a cheap Grizzly 4" table with a couple of aluminum adaptors and a weak stepper. The table binds without any load applied, lots of backlash. I took the thing apart and it is not pretty! I suspect the Sherline is a lot better.

    Hi msweeney,

Thank you for sharing your experience on QTUL.
Is the table economically worthwhile to salvage or modify to fix those issues?
Did you feedback those issues to QTUL?

    Hi oddodd,
The table is junk, not able to be fixed. I've posted on their site but no response. Other people have voiced their opinion on the Grizzly 4" table and they are not positive to say the least. It Qtul had picked a decent 4" table like a phase II, it would be functional product.

Thank you for the insight. I'll probably pass up on the Qtul table.
