    Chinese laser 50w from EBay

    Hi everyone great forum
I have just bought a laser from eBay and looking for some help please ?

1: how do I get the laser to stay in the top left corner ?

2 : any ideas regarding speed and power for layering and cutting 3 mm Mdf ?

3 : Unsure about what height the laser should be from the work I am doing , got supplied with a bit of plastic 1cm x 4 cm ?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thank you

Somewhere in the software there should be a place to change the home position. Yours is set for the center , look in your settings

Hello Kopkid, this is Nolan from Thunderlaser. Thunder laser cutting and engraving systems - Cutting, Marking and Etching Machines
    1. you can set the original position in the software, but every software is a little different, we use RDWorks V8.
    2. I suggest: cutting speed: 2mm/s and 90% power
    3. I can't understand the last question very well, you mean the focus length? it should depend on your laser head, someone use 2" laser head, or 4" laser head.
hope my suggestion can help you.

    Thank you big bird 48.
Nolan thank you for the reply, I received a piece of acrylic with the laser which measures 1 cm by 4 cm. I am not sure if this should be horizontal or vertical when I place it on the mdf and should it be measured from the bottom of the lens ?
