Can I face off a round bar from the outside in with a spiral?

With cambam it's very easy to face off round bar stock (held vertically) by using the pocket method. This produces a nice spiral from inside to outside.
But to cut down the vibration of the tool entering the piece, I'd like to use a nice spiral from the outside to in. Starting the spiral from outside the round face and entering from outside.

How can I acheive this? I have the outside to inside part kludged by using a 0.1mm circle which I'm profiling using a 15mm cut width and negative roughing clearance. But it's concentric circles with a straight move in between each which impacts surface finish. I'd prefer to have an ever decreasing spiral.

Could you draw a spiral then just have the cutter follow that?
(It well may not be possible... just a thought not backed by any experience since I've only used the software once, LOL.)
Q: How many tools does it take before a simple task becomes a project?
A: Just one. I'm the Tool that turns a simple task in to a project.

That is one solution, but I'm not sure how to draw a spiral in that software.

Just right click on the drawing, select Draw, then More. That should bring up several selections. Flat spiral is the one you want.

At least that's the way it works here.

Brilliant, thanks. I'd never seen that option before.

Thanks, I think at one time it was part of the plugins.
