Strangely, started a thread before today but it seems to have disappeared ?? !!

Anyways, I have a Bridgeport Torq Cut Tc2g -98 with Heidenhain TNC 370 control system.
Maybe simple question but want to make sure how I turn off the machine!
Info I have received is to press the emergency stop and then turn off the main switch. Does not feel quite right, I will not shut down the control system first?

The problem I have is that my earth leakage circuit breaker cuts the power in the entire building when I turn of huvvudströmbrytaren ..
I have tried to replace the power switch with a new one but no difference.

Guess all Bridgeport VMC with the TNC 370, 360 turns off the same way as a quick response should go to get !?

No one has any idea why the GFCI breaker cuts the power when you turn off the main switch on the machine?

it makes no sense that shutting the power off would affect anything else. emo the machine first wait a few seconds and shut it off. If it still hits the GFCI there is something wrong with the GFCI

yes I think it is very strange, tested to wait a while but still the same thing.
BUT, I have also tried to pull the plug from the socket instead of turning off the main switch and sometimes nothing happened with the GFCI breaker.
Have also tried to remove the earth cable but no difference.

to softail55, i have a same machine its a 99, i always hit the emergency before turning it off, its like a habit i've picked up over the years, was told its easier on the drives...
do you have the operators manual, got the programming manual on heidenhain.com,
but still missing basic machine fonctions, like the tt120 toolsetter, parameter discription,...i'm ready to pay for a copy if you don't mind...
