    Bob cad -cam 3d

    Every time I try to make a 3 d carving of a deer or anything,it always comes out all choppy and with grooves. what bits should ibe using
    At with what kind of stepover . And also it seems to take hours and hours to cut? Should it take that long? I am new to cnc so me know thanks ....Tim..

    I cannot answer your question as I am no expert. I can say that the Pro's on here will need more info. What version of Bobcad are you using. They may also ask for a screen shot or 2 to see the problem. They may also ask for the bbcd file to look at. What is the geometry of the 3d file. What bit are you using. Are you doing a rough cut then a finish cut.Be ready for some questions. As for time yes hours for 3d projects is the norm.
