    Angry beam alignment

    Hi there,

I'd like to share some frustration.
Here's the problem: can't get my beam alignment in the center of the mirrors.

Need some advice, it's cracking my brain.
The beam always ends up way to high in the mirror.

Any alignment experts on this forum?

    Re: beam alignment

    Ok,

so I lowered the tube, I lowered the first mirror.
But I do keep ending up to high in the second mirror.

There must be something wrong with my adjusting technique...

Take some photos of the mirror and the mount that the mirror is attached to.

    Re: beam alignment

So far I ended up with my little hacksaw to make the tube mounts a little shorter...
I did an alignment of the first two mirrors and the tube with a laser-leveller.
Now everything seems fine. The machine is running and I'll take some pictures when the job is done...

pff huge effort to get this done!

    hi
you need to alligne all the mirrors with the laserbeam or it will not bring you max cutting power.

I alligned the mirror, with the beam and the second mirror.
All in the same plane. The beam hits the first mirror at the center spot!

    Re: beam alignment

ok now you need to adjust this mirror ( #1) with the three screws that the beam hits the second mirror dead center if you move the X axis to the front ( closest to the tube)and the back . that's a bit fiddeling the first time.
then you need to adjust the third mirror that the beam hits dead center her too in all four corners of you workarea.
don't be discouraged it takes a long time the first time till you know which screw brings up what.
