Question Anyonehere using BobCad Cam v26 5 axis pro?

Is anyone here using Bobcad v26 5 axis pro? Looking for general input good bad or otherwise-- the demo doesn't allow the user to create any tool paths to view what is possible.
Before I lay out the bucks I want to hear the negatives (if any) and positives.

This part was programmed with V25 5 Axis Pro:

    Attachment 243868

The multi axis versions of BobCAD CAM offers high end 5 axis tool paths. There are lots of options and does require the post and machine definition to be setup correctly. Once this is done, it comes down to when to use what options and why. Training is going to be very important if you haven't use a 5 axis CAD CAM system in the past. If you have, like mastercam, or surfcam, or GibbsCAM etc. You find the work flow and options to be very much the same.

We have a number of users running our 4 and 5 axis software around the world. Everything from simple 3+ 2 to complex 5 axis impellers. So the question I have for you is, what is your application. Can you tell me more about the machines you are running and what you are looking to accomplish?

Hi Al We are doing Cylinder head porting and combustion chambers. We also do part reproduction for vintage racing --5 axis would be handy.

What machine and controller will you be posting to and running on?

Using 5 axis pro is more than just 5 axis programming. You'll have 7 surface based paths you can use in 3, 4 or 5 axis programming. Know that there are special options for porting.

This video will help you understand how to use some of the surface based paths for 3 axis cutting.

One of the options has to do with the tool retracting though the center of a tube...
