Again, crusader M, servo disconnect in rapid

Ok ,once again I need help with the z axis tripping the servo disconnect when using rapid moves. I had this problem once before, the servo drive board was replaced and the problem was solved. When it started this time, I thought I could just replace the board again. NOPE. Bought a couple boards off e-bay, changed the board, problem remains. Changed the transformer under the drive board. problem remains
I verified the problem is just on the z axis, by switching the y axis wires to the z axis board. Servo disconnect trips when a rapid move is made. It does fine with a feed move or jog moves.

The machine is an Anilam crusader M (1989) on a Supermax mill 3 axis.

I could program feed moves instead of rapids, for now. but a lot of the canned drill cycles use rapid moves in z.

Any Idea what to look at ?
    Thanks
    Van

This machine use tach feedback off the motor? How's the encoder signal look off the Z motor?

Still has feedback from the motor, either tach or encoder. Has to, the drives need velocity feedback not just position.

Re: Again, crusader M, servo disconnect in rapid

I have two crusader m's and both don't like trying to rapid z over 150ipm and 200ipm on X Y Anilam put out a bulletin on how to set them
and it went like this: 70000249 service doc. The program format as follows:
    1) V01 200. V01 = XY Rapid Rate.
    2) V02 150. V02 = Z Rapid Rate.
    3) AUX 1440 AUX 1440 = ACTIVATES NEW RATES.
    4) END

This program will set XY axis to 200 I.P.M. and Z to 150. This should be entered and run as a program in memory. These values must be re-installed after a 'cold boot' of the system.

    hope this helps

Well after changing the servo drive card, the counter board(black tab), with no improvement. I'm ordering a new encoder, for the z zxis.
    I'll keep you all uupdated.
