EMUGE, manufacturer of thread cutting and clamping tools in the EMUGE-FRANKEN company group, extends its hydro-expansion clamping product range. This ensures the submission of the most suitable clamping solution to the customer comprising either mechanical or hydraulic clamping systems.
Hydro-expansion clamping devices are distinguished by high clamping accuracy, high clamping force, enormous strength, high reliability and long tool life.
The expansion sleeve expands in perfect central alignment with the central axis over the entire clamping length. This is why hydraulic clamping elements achieve highest runout accuracy (radial runout ≤ 3µm). The consistant transmission of the high clamping force (up to 500 daN/cm2) guarantees the safe clamping of large and thin-walled workpieces. This paves the way for heavy machining where a maximum of cutting forces may apply.
Expansion sleeve and base body are connected absolutely tight and firm without any mechanical sealing elements. Using this innovative construction ensures best reliability and long life time.
