Compact design with patented spindle configuration
Four motorized spindles – four parts machined simultaneously. What this means for you: quadruple production, small footprint and low cost, when compared with four individual machines. And if you need smaller production quantities, we can build your machining center with fewer spindles – just the way you need it.
Independent Z-axes
Our AL multi-spindle machines have single quills which can travel independently in the Z-axis. This combines the precise adjustability of single-spindle machining centers with the production volume of multi-spindle systems. Variations in tool length can be automatically and individually compensated in the Z-axis.
The AS 600 combines two features: speed and precision. Linear and torque motors ensure high accelerations (20 m/s2) and travel speeds (120 m/min) in all axes.
A 3-axis machining unit with major axes X, Y and Z handles all feed motion. The work spindle is configured as a pivot axis, i.e. movement along the X-axis is a pivot motion instead of a straight line. The advantage of this patented pivot axis: it requires less space so that the machine can be built in a very compact design. The Z-axis is designed as a quill with synchronous motorized spindle.
The modular machine design accommodates individual customer requirements by allowing individualized adaptations on the part side. If needed, additional A- and B-axes in the form of NC rotary tables or NC swivel fixtures can be added. Machine load / unload takes place either manually or automatically, using pallet changers, gantry loaders or robots.
