Experience with MasterCAM

at first, i am very happy, that this english version of cnc-arena is now available... Thanks to the adminteam :great:

we ar starting to search a new CAM system for our company

Is there anybody, who can tell me his experience with mastercam?

We want to connect three 5-Axis MillingMachines (DMU50P)

Are there standard postprocessor for this machines available ?

There is a postprocesor for you, but the programing is very difficoult. We are working with four axis and we have problems and i dont know how hard would be with 5 axis.

I have used Mastercam with multi-axis milling. The problem was the postprocessor. But almost all problems was solved with a post from CIMCO in Denmark (www.mastercam.dk or www.cimco-software.com)

Now i have a new job, and they use Edgecam also on multiaxis machines.

Have Mastercam experience in 5 axis with DMC 60 U, with 5 pallet, pallet pool.
With the right post processor its a dodle.
If you buy mastercam make sure your dealer gives you a good post processor with it..
